Paint Flowers of the Chinese Garden

This class will introduce you to watercolor painting, using simple botanicals found in the the Chinese Garden. No drawing needed! Use Rene’s drawings and concentrate on learning painting techniques. It will be specifically geared toward beginning painters and will guide you in choosing materials and teach you how to apply paint, with exercises to learn the basic painting concepts. We’ll paint on wood cradled panels with drawings already printed and ready to paint or on watercolor paper using transfer drawings. Watch René paint step-by-step, then try it yourself. You’ll also learn how to apply acrylic to protect your painting. This class will be a supportive environment for learning and exploration!

Panels and some painting materials will be available for purchase.
