DYNAMIC WATERMEDIA

Paint with gusto using acrylic mediums and water play to enhance your watercolor technique

Intensional play is our path to discovery in this process-driven experience as we integrate paint with texture. We’ll also explore invented color, value, shape and other design principles while creating our own personal works of art. Texture stimulates both sight and touch. We find sensual joy in experiencing a tactile surface. Being visually active, textured paintings feel more dynamic and we emotionally connect. Texture can be on the surface (visual) or raised above the surface (dimensional). It can be applied before painting, over the paint or even added at a later stage. Learn to create textured paper then paint your subject in watercolor on the surface. Breathe new life into unfinished or unloved paintings while enhancing the concept behind your work by overlaying texture and patterning. Rene provides demonstrations and individual guidance. Open to beginners or advanced students.
