CLASS DESCRIPTION

Join us for an immersive one-day workshop focused on capturing the essence of a live model using expressive watermedia techniques. This workshop will guide you through the fundamentals of painting the human face with confidence, spontaneity and sensitivity. Through live demonstration, guided instruction and individual feedback you’ll explore:
— Working from life with dynamic observation and brushwork
— Key principles of facial structure and proportion
— Painting over a textured substrate
— Layering and blending in transparent watercolor
— Color mixing for expressive skin and hair tones
— Techniques for achieving likeness and personality
All levels are welcome. Come ready to loosen up, experiment, and bring your portraits to life!
