THE CRADLE OF CIVILIZATION
Greece offers up a diverse landscape,
the taste of amazing fresh food,
more than 3000 years of rich history
and a comfortable climate.
Laura Shea, Ann Wecks and I visited Greece in 2018 and loved it! So we’ll take YOU in 2019! Here we are inside the quaint and charming village of Molivos, on the island Lesbos (or Lesvos, Greeks have several different names for the same place).
This is an overlook on our way to Petra. Notice the castle on the hilltop of Molivos (or Molyvos) in the background.

Athens was awesome!
We met this charming woman who lives not far from the village graveyard. She didn’t speak any English and we didn’t know Greek, but she welcomed us into her garden for a homemade beverage and we had a lovely conversation.
MOLIVOS has a working harbor
You can watch the fishing boats come and go as you sketch or enjoy a cup of coffee.
The beach at nearby PETRA
It’s sandy and filled with umbrellas. Cafes and eateries line the waterfront. Order a drink or greek salad and you can hang out and soak up the sun.
A record in ART
Laura worked on her mini-journal. So much to absorb and record!
Culinary delights!
We samples Greek foods and took pictures of everything we saw.
